How AI Tools Transformed Cookie Monster into a Mob Boss for "The Cookies" Trailer

I've always wanted to experiment with different image-to-video tools so I can bring some of the AI imagery I have created to life and I finally got a chance to this past week when I went created "The Cookie's" trailer. Multiple AI tools were used in the making of the trailer becasue they each have their own utility where they shine. Continue reading for the whole process on how I created the trailer from start to finish.

Cookie Monster dressed in a luxurious fur coat holding a large green duffel bag filled with cookies and a gun, standing in an opulent room with golden accents, portraying him as a mob boss in a high-stakes cookie trade. Cookie Monster, dressed in a sleek black tuxedo, sits comfortably in the back seat of a luxury car, holding a green duffel bag overflowing with cookies, portraying a sophisticated mob boss persona in a city setting at night. Cookie Monster, dressed in a mob boss suit and smoking a cigar, stands next to Elmo in a kitchen scene. Cookie Monster holds a green duffel bag overflowing with cookies, while Elmo looks excited. A pizza and cookies are laid out on the table, adding to the playful mobster-themed setting.

Conceptualizing the Story

I have a handful of AI's that I go to for specific tasks and I used ChatGPT 4o to create the summary of the story for me. I am not the best at writing and wanted to see where ChatGPT could take the little info I wrote out.

"The Cookies" follows Cookie Monster, an imposing mob boss with a singular obsession: cookies. As he tightens his grip on the underground cookie trade, he embarks on a ruthless campaign to eliminate rival bakers and any threats to his cookie empire.

Crafting Visuals with AI

Voiceovers and Audio

I have made discord bots in the past that utilize ElevenLabs and their frontier voice cloning tool but I did not use ElevenLabs for the final trailer.

Why not ElevenLabs

I pulled videos from YouTube that had Cookie Monster diologue and then pulled out all of the diologue from the videos to solely have just the voice audio from Cookie Monster using FL Studio. I uploaded roughly 5 minutes of Cookie Monster talking and the output from ElevenLabs was not good at all. I was not able to get the annunciations right and the voice was very different from the audio provided even after playing with all the sliders.

Using Fineshare

After struggling with Eleven Labs to get the voice good I ended up searching for something better and found FindShare's voice changer tool. FineShare actually had a Cookie Monster voice changer so that I could upload audio talking how I want Cookie Monster to say. This tool amde it so that I could get the annunciations for Cookie Monster making the audio sound more similar than what ElevenLabs was able to do.

Image to Video

There are a couple image to video tools out there but the most promising one that I used was by Pika. It was hard to get the videos to generate how I wanted them becasue Cookie Monster is a unique character who has crazy googly eyes and a giant mouth. I generated so many videos that I ran out of free credits and had to buy more becasue I was in too deep on this project that I had to get videos that looked decent to finish it up.

Final Touches

The final touch was to create a logo for the trailer. I found the Sopranos font on FontBolt's website and typed out "Cookies" and colored the font in Photoshop.

Final Touches

All of the images, videos, and audio were put together using Adobe After Effects. I lowered some of the volumes and added the videos where I thought seemed fit.
